The BKK-A series inclination transducers on surface of structure. available in two types, uniaxial and biaxial, are designed to measure minute inclination quantities. They are suitably used in combination with a structural settlement transducer for measurement of the disturbance resulting from nearby engineering works as well as for measurement of landslide-initiated inclination of the ground surface.
These transducers provide not only resolution twice as high as conventional systems but also outstandingly improved temperature characteristics (temperature effect on zero balance ±0.36 seconds/°C with ±1° rated capacity) and long-term stability (±0.5% RO). Furthermore, a stopper for detector protection is provided to ensure high handling efficiency in a total working flow from transportation to installation and measurement. Also, their structure, with highly viscous damping oil filled in, improves vibration resistance.

Water Pipe-aided Structural Settlement Measuring System
Measure structural settlement.
This system is designed to measure settlement effects on existing structures during or after tunneling just under, or adjacent to, the structures or during or after nearby pit excavation works. The system consists of a reference water tank, detector and conditioner. The reference water tank is fixed at a site where it is not affected by structural settlement, while the detector is installed at a measuring site where the structure is predicted to settle. The tank and detector are connected with each other via a communicating tube to electrically measure the difference in water levels between them.

The BPT-A-80KPS is a soil moisture transducer designed to measure water pressure in a vessel equipped with a porous cup (porous ceramic tube) and filled with degassed water. If the soil around the embedded porous cup is dry, the soil absorbs water from the vessel via the porous cup. By measuring this negative pressure (water absorbing pressure), the amount of moisture in the soil is obtained. Designed for installation in a boring to detect strain in multiaxial directions inside bedrock, the BSM-44D-TX is useful to analyze stress conditions of the bedrock natural ground. Thus, it can be used for over-coring tests to measure bedrock stress changes or to seek initial stress conditions of the bedrock natural ground. Measure perpendicular displacement at every stratum over a long period of time.
SVL-C-S is designed to measure perpendicular displacement (settlement) of banking of earth or rock-fill dams, stratum by stratum. With this measuring system, settling panel-attached crossarms (with a magnet ring) and a guide pipe are embedded along with the banking work. A magnetic probe inserted in the guide pipe lets the indicator sense the position of every settling panel in noncontact manner and based on the length of cable fed at that time, settlement at every stratum is detected. The system is suitable for long-term observation of settlement at every stratum.

Checking the leakage collected in a channel and guided to a triangular weir initiates changes in the pressure water head. A buoyant load-cell water-level transducer detects the changes to measure the flow rate. Electrical output signals of the transducer are transmitted via cable, thereby enabling remote measurement and recording in combination with a recorder.

Pipe Strain Transducer
Measure the depth and amount of landslide.
This transducer is designed to estimate the depth and amount of landslide. It has a strain gage bonded on a PVC pipe to form a flexible detector. Multiple units that are connected via joint pipe are placed vertically into a boring at the landslide site and fixed by filling the gap with sand. Landslide scale and depth are estimated based on bending strain measured at each depth by the detector, which is sequentially selected using a switch box.

Displacement is transmitted via the invar line stretched between the piles and is recorded on an analog recorder with ink cartridge. These transducers can be equipped with an alarm contact to alert the operator against displacement. Necessary power supply is only a dry cell for the clock to drive the pen. These transducers can be used for measurement of ground surface displacement in landslide areas as well as for displacement measurement of structures as convenient displacement transducers.

Elongation Measuring System
Measure displacement of ground surface and output signals to indicator, recorder or alarm.
Installed in locations where landslide or collapse is suspected, this system measures displacement of the ground surface. The potentiometer sensor detects fluctuation of ground surface and an invar line extended from the fixed pile transmits the ground surface displacement, which is converted to a corresponding voltage by rotating the displacement transmission shaft. The electrical output can be connected to various instruments for indication, recording or alarm. A desired rated capacity can be selected from 50 or 100 mm.

Borehole Elongation Measuring System
Installable in a short time for measurement of displacement inside the ground
Installed in locations where a landslide is suspected, SSD-510TSB measures displacement inside the ground. An elongation transducer SSD-T connects to the transmission wire that is extended from an anchor fixed in a boring by pressure. Displacement is measured based on rotation of the displacement transmission shaft of SSD-T. Compared to a grout anchor, a pressure anchor can be fixed in a shorter time, thereby reducing installation time.
